How to order
Important when you create your profile: If you are applying for a duplicate licence, do not pay for the boating licence exam (NOK 940,-). You pay for the duplicate licence only once your application has been approved.

- Båtførerdiplom (boating diploma)
- Stamped and signed printout of the examiner's record, or confirmation from the examiner
- Confirmation of a passed exam at Statens sjøaspirantskoler (the state maritime cadet schools)

- A recognised foreign boating licence or certificate of competence with the same or higher operating rights than the Norwegian boating licence. Attach documentation showing that the licence is nationally recognised.
Other theoretical qualifications
If you are applying on the basis of qualifications other than those listed above, you must send us sufficient documentation yourself. It must show that your education covers the main elements of the curriculum for the boating licence exam.
For example, it is not enough to refer to a diploma listing “Prosjekt til fordypning” (in-depth project) or “Tverrfaglig eksamen” (interdisciplinary exam). Also attach the subject curriculum or the learning outcomes that describe the content of the subject.
